Collection: Blue Korowai Designs
Our Tangaroa design features a mix of royal blue, black and turquoise coque feathers, finished with white coque feathers and a 2in royal blue pātiki taniko band. The design is inspired by a Māori belief that water has many moods, and the color blue symbolizes wisdom, introspection and the power of the sea. These designer kākahu exhibit heirloom quality, and have been featured in renowned publications like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler and Glamour Magazine. Crafted with strict adherence to tikanga (cultural customs) and guidance from kaumatua, these modern kākahu are made by a whanau (family) business in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
